Top Organisation Tips

  • Use your Sundays: Although the last thing you may feel like doing on a Sunday is sitting down to think of the week ahead, even 10 minutes getting ahead of the game can make all the difference. Make a hot drink, grab a snack and get your calendar out. Think through the meals you will need to shop for, the days you might want to exercise, the work meetings you have coming up. I like to mark this all down in my calendar, ensuring that the week ahead is clear.

  • To Do Lists: An oldie but a goodie. I cannot talk enough about how much these have saved me. When your life feels overwhelming, and your brain is close to capacity, writing everything down helps so much! Some people prefer hand writing lists, some like to put them in a calendar, some type them. It does not matter how you do this, but just get it down!

  • Ordering Tasks: Once you have your to do list written down, get it in order. Highlight the urgent tasks, seperate out the quick ticks and longer projects. If a task takes less than five minutes, do it right there and then! Diarise time for the longer tasks, and make these enjoyable, put on a concentration playlist, turn your phone off, light a candle and settle in!

  • Airplane Mode: A gamechanger when you have a long list of things to do. Even if it just half an hour away from your phone, you will more than likely find your productivity soars!
