The impact that organisation can have on stress and wellbeing

For years, I struggled with anxiety and stress, which only worsened when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. Unsurprisingly, stress is one of the biggest triggers for flare-ups, so I’ve made it my mission to keep myself as relaxed and stress-free as possible. Over time, I’ve discovered that one of the most effective ways to manage my stress is by staying on top of everything—whether it’s in my personal life or my work.

One of my most helpful strategies is writing lists. I rely on them to organise my thoughts and set a clear path for the day ahead. Starting each workday with a to-do list has been a game changer. It helps me feel in control, even when things get overwhelming. I also make sure to leave time for the tasks that need to get done and schedule them into my day. Taking this time for myself has been essential for maintaining a sense of calm and focus.

Of course, I’m lucky to have the time to do these things. But I know that many people don’t. In today’s fast-paced world, many are juggling demanding jobs, family obligations, and personal goals, and can’t always carve out the space to stay organised. That’s where someone like me can step in to help.

The link between stress and illness is well-documented—and in our modern world, where stress seems ever-present, it’s more important than ever to prioritise our well-being. Anything we can do to reduce stress and create space for relaxation can make a huge difference in how we feel, both physically and mentally. It’s also incredibly beneficial to lean on others for support when we need it.

Over the years, I’ve found other practices that have been life-changing in helping me manage stress. Breathwork, tapping, and learning about ancient healing methods like Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic practices have all played an important role in my wellness journey. These practices have not only helped me manage my stress, but they’ve also given me a deeper sense of balance and clarity.

Because of the positive impact these practices have had on my life, I’m excited to expand my skills and training in these areas. I’m currently working toward gaining qualifications in breathwork, tapping, and holistic healing, so I can offer even more tools and resources to help my clients live stress-free, organised lives.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by stress or disorganised chaos, you’re not alone. Finding ways to manage stress—through organisation, self-care practices, or seeking support from others—can be a game changer for your mental and physical health. I’m here to help guide you along the way, providing the support and systems you need to feel calm, focused, and in control.
